    SUMMER DAY CAMP

    There is no better place for kids to connect, make new friends, try new things, and discover their potential. We look forward to meeting campers and have a safe, fun summer!  Summer camp is offered for 11 weeks, you can enroll for the whole summer or pick and choose what weeks you need.

    AGES: 5-12 years old (select the grade they will be entering in the fall of 2025)

    COST: $165/week. ($15 deposit due per week at registration). The remaining amount can be paid in full or will be taken out of your billing method the Friday prior to the start of the camp week.

    REGISTRATION: Opened 2/3/2025. Can be done online or at the YMCA. All paperwork must be completed and turned in by April 1, 2025. You can print out needed paperwork online or stop by the YMCA for copies. You are not fully registered until we have all the paperwork and a billing method on file.

    DROP-OFF: Between 7:30-8:00 AM.

    PICK-UP: By 5:00 PM (late pick-ups will acquire a fee)

    CLASSROOMS: Room 1: 4th-5th Grade (max 26 kids); Room 2: K-1st Grade (max 16 kids); Room 3: 2nd-3rd Grade (max 40 kids).

    Camp info:

    $15 deposit required for each week due at registration. This amount will be take out of the weekly program rate. The $15 deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE!

    Kids will be participating in daily crafts, games, physical activity, and swimming.

    Each week kids will be enjoying field trips to fun places- both locally and out of town.

    Bring comfortable walking shoes- we often head to local parks or other sites for some summer fun.

    Afternoon snacks will be provided by the YMCA.

    Each camper needs to bring their own sack lunch, water bottle and sunscreen each day!

    YMCA Camp is offered in a group setting. We are able to provide some accommodations, however we are unable to provide one-on-one care or attention.

    All campers must be potty-trained.

    SUMMER FUN RUN 5K(don’t have flyer made yet)

    Join us for our Summer Fun Run 5K in Le Mars, IA on Saturday, June 21st. The 5k will be chip timed, and the start and finish will be at the Olson Cultural Event Center in downtown Le Mars. The route will lead you through residential Le Mars and onto our recreation trail.  Our Summer Fun Run is part of the 4-day Ice Cream Days event in Le Mars, IA. Come early for all the fun activities happening at the Olson Cultural Event Center and stay after the race for awards, post-race snacks and more Ice Cream Days fun.

    When: Saturday, June 21 at 7:30 AM (parade starts at 9:30 AM!)

    Cost: $30 (if registered by May 25)  $35 (May 26-June 20)  $40 day off fee

    Child & Babysitting Safety Courses (flyer attached)

    This class gives pre-teens & teens everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. The program teaches how to get started with a business, working with parents and children, and key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips. Perfect for those interested in babysitting or wo have responsibility for younger family members.

    Fee: $30

    Summer Dates: June 4th: 1-3:30pm, June 25th: 1-3:30pm, July 9th: 1-3:30pm, July 23rd: 1-3:30pm, August 13th: 1-3:30pm

    Bike Safety Rodeo

    The Bike Safety Rodeo is sponsored by Plymouth County Cyclists, the Le Mars Rotary Club, the YMCA and the LE Mars Police Department.  Children are encouraged to bring their bikes to the event where they will be able to register their bike with the Le Mars Police Department and have their bike inspected.  There will also be hands-on bike riding activities to teach and promote bike safety.

    2025 Junior Golf

    Summer will be here before you know it and so will GOLF season!  We anticipate starting up June 5, and continuing on Thursday mornings through July.  Age groups will be broken down accordingly along with skill level to keep kids working on similar levels.  We will be offering instruction to any kid ages 6-17.  Sign up will begin in the middle of April.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Brian at the golf course.
